Three Commissioners sworn in at the Port of Edmonds
In a special Commission meeting held Wednesday morning, Port of Edmonds Attorney Brad Cattle administered the Oath of Office to newly-elected Commissioner Angela Harris, and re-elected Commissioners Bruce Faires and Steve Johnston.
Ms. Harris brings extensive business expertise to her new role as a Port Commissioner District 1, having owned and operated a consulting firm prior to starting her role as a senior business program manager at Microsoft. Regarding her new seat as a Commissioner, Ms. Harris noted “I am honored to serve Edmonds and Woodway as Port Commissioner and thank the many supporters who helped throughout the campaign.”
This will be the fifth term for incumbent Commissioners Bruce Faires who represents District 3. Commissioner Steve Johnston (At-Large) will be starting his first full four-year term, having been appointed as Port Commissioner in 2016.
The Port of Edmonds staff and existing Commissioners are excited to have all three commissioners onboard and greatly look forward to working with them.
